Devil's Punch Bowl

I visited my bestest friend last weekend.

After a snuggle with this lovely, if slightly drooly, lady...

...we took her to The Devil's Punch Bowl and set off on a good stroll.

That grassy curve, use to be the A3. A motorway forever congested with cars and caravans crawling to the coast. And that was only two years ago, I think it's safe to say that nature has reclaimed it beautifully!

Then it was time to do what girls do - lets face it - pretty dang well: admire florals, eat ice cream, bake (the best!) peanut butter & chocolate chip cookies and watch movies 'til the early hours!

Wednesday

Down By The Banks

Dogs leapt into the river chasing their sticks downstream. People fished, kayaked, sunbathed, cycled and strolled their way along the meander of the waterway.

Everything's just that little bit better when the sun shines, eh.

Thursday

Spring has sprung

Spring, is finally here! BBC weather has sustained double figures for at least a week. C and I went for a leisurely walk and it was blllisss. The sky was blue with bouncy cotton clouds, the sun shone and we were armed with our sunglasses.

As you can see the crops are green and growing fast, every time we go for a walk we notice them standing a little bit taller, prouder, fatter.

Tuesday

Up, Round and Over the Hill

C and I ran up the hill panted up the hill, walked through the farm fields and fought our way down the chalky path through the brambles with handmade swords (sticks from the wood) and ventured to this quiet spot.

We took two flasks full of tea & hot chocolate. Eager to steal some of the flasks warmth we both managed to burn our tongues. If C's got a cuppa of something warm he'll always sip a little too soon. Patience - when it comes to food - is not Christian's forte.
