You know how I mentioned the weather's changeable temperament... well on Saturday the weather turned and our plans had to be altered.
So, we sat, tea in hand, watching the layers of clouds roll in and the lightening spark up the surronding mountains.
The Alps are really a breathtaking part of the world, and I've loved being here in late summer.
Everywhere you look, spikey mountains roll and jagged rocks burst out. Thunder gently trundled through the valley and slowly became a rumble echoing through the pines from the distance.
The rain cleared and the sky blended to blue again, so we flung open the doors but left the fire burning into the night.
Being our last day, we 'had to' eat up the leftovers. That equated to toasted marshmallows squidged between Oreos & chocolate Leibniz biscuits - try it! It's as amazing as it sounds.
I couldn't think of better way to conclude our trip, it also prepared us for our last adventure - a hearty breakfast of whitewater rafting!
